Who we are

GX Bags is a Queensland-based, Australian-owned family business drawing on more than twenty years of industry experience supplying eco-friendly bag solutions. The business spans two generations and specialises in wholesale reusable bags, supported by a complementary range of reusable and branded products. GX Bags warehouses its in-stock products at Beenleigh, Queensland, has a team based in Adelaide, South Australia, and ships to retailers and organisations across Australia.

The business is built on a commitment to environmental sustainability, ethical production and consistent quality. Its supply chain is regularly audited against recognised global standards to support ethical work practices, responsible sourcing and quality assurance. GX Bags is actively building deeper relationships with social enterprises, charities, community organisations and other purpose-led organisations, including through social procurement. GX Bags aims to help these organisations make their budgets work harder by supplying practical, reusable products that can also increase awareness of their brand, cause or message - helping extend the impact they create in their communities.

What we do

GX Bags offers two main product streams: a ready-to-order in-stock range and a fully customised bag service.

Bags in stock

The in-stock range includes a wide variety of reusable bag styles available for immediate purchase and delivery, including shopping bags, tote bags, cooler bags, drawstring bags, mesh produce bags, gift bags, beach bags, jar bags, and seasonal designs. Plain and pre-printed options are available. This range is designed for retailers, markets, events, and community organisations that need eco-friendly bags without a long lead time.

Custom bags

GX Bags specialises in working with customers to create fully custom bags tailored to their brand and requirements, including logos, colours, shapes, sizes, handle types, materials and construction. Custom options span shopping bags, cooler bags, tote bags, promotional cotton bags, wine bags, drawstring bags, backpacks, cosmetic bags, travel and tech bags, packaging and display bags, and mesh produce bags. Clients can also order for seasonal campaigns such as Christmas and Easter.

Materials used across both ranges include jute, hessian, juco (a blend of jute and cotton), cotton, calico, canvas, and non-woven polypropylene, all selected for their durability and lower environmental impact compared with single-use plastics. The range of materials allows GX Bags to offer options suited to different applications, budgets and branding requirements, from natural and premium finishes through to lightweight, practical solutions designed for repeated use.

Beyond bags

GX Bags also supplies a range of other eco-friendly products including aprons, laundry baskets, pillow cases, and banners, as well as raw jute and hessian materials for agricultural, industrial, and commercial uses. The business serves a broad range of sectors, including supermarkets, hospitality venues, farmers markets, schools, charities, government agencies, real estate businesses, sporting organisations, shopping centres, and trade fairs.

For custom projects, GX Bags can prepare digital mock-ups, organise samples where required, coordinate production and quality assurance, and manage delivery Australia-wide. Its aim is to make the process straightforward from the initial idea through to the finished product.
